Táto staroveká masáž má svoj pôvod v Indii. Zakladateľom tohoto umenia bol severoindický lekár Jivaka Kumar Bhaka, súčastník Buddhy. Jedná sa o celotelovú masáž, pri ktorej pravidelnými, presne smerovanými tlakmi maséra dochádza k výmene energie a nastoleniu rovnováhy v tele. Masáž tlakových bodov odstraňuje blokády, obnovuje zdravie a psychickú pohodu, pomáha pri bolestiach hlavy, migrénach, posiluje nervový systém, odstráňuje bolesti kĺbov, chrbtice, svalov a tkanív, zvyšuje pohyblivosť, priaznivo ovplyvňuje cirkuláciu krvi a lymfy a zlepšuje vylučovanie toxických látok z tela. Prevádza sa na špeciálnej podložke, pri masáži má klient na sebe ľahký a pohodlný odev. Podľa priania trvá masáž až 80 minút. Tradičná thajská masáž, označovaná slovom "nuad", má veľmi dlhú tradíciu liečby.
